Space invader games originated in Japan and were inspired by the “Star Wars”. The original game was developed on an arcade platform and was initially a simple shooting game. The game which is believed to be the forerunner of the modern video games has undergone a lot of advancements. The game can now be played on a three dimensional portable platform and there are multiplayer modes.
Upgraded versions of the game are Super Space Invaders which are also called the Majestic Twelve. These are enhanced with color graphics to make the gaming atmosphere more attractive. Other space games are the EVE online, Star Trek Online, etc. These online space games present the player with firing weapons to attack and destroy the enemy and hence keep the players tuned to their systems. They give the players a real time environment and the player has the feel of really being on the space.
