First and foremost thing in a wedding is the wedding invitation. It is the responsibility of the parents of bride and the bride groom to invite relatives and friends to attend the wedding but most often it is the bride and the bride groom who do the selection of invitation cards. The reason is that the bride and the groom belong to a different generation and the parents do not know the tastes of the present generation, at least so they think.

Some time back it was the trend to print the card in gold color and insert it in an envelope, before hand delivering to friends and relatives but this has now changed to use different shapes of cards with decorative embossed patterns and pictures.
